This November, Vote YES on Proposition H to make San Francisco a world leader in the fight against global warming!

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Build Clean Energy

Proposition H will ensure San Francisco builds enough renewable and conservation projects to achieve 100% clean energy by 2040, making San Francisco a worldwide leader in the fight against global warming.

Prevent Climate Crisis

The writing is on the wall: melting polar ice caps, droughts, floods, and extreme storms. We are on a collision course with nature, unless we act quickly and decisively to change the course of history.

Jumpstart Green Economy

Proposition H will make San Francisco the hub of the new green economy and generate thousands of jobs in the emerging clean energy industry. Now is the time to usher in the Green Economy in San Francisco.

Prop H Potluck Friday!

Voltage Thanks to all of you who supported the San Francisco Clean Energy Act (Proposition H)!

We appreciate everything you did for the “Yes on H” campaign.   Although we didn’t win enough votes to pass Prop H, we made a valiant effort.  In a compressed time-frame we waged a campaign that challenged an entrenched utility giant, knowing full well the odds against us, but we also knew the importance of pushing for clean energy at this critical time. Soon after the introduction of this visionary proposal asking San Francisco to reach for a 100% clean energy future, Al Gore issued his challenge to America calling for 100% clean energy at an even more rapid pace.  That is sending waves around the world.  Meeting all of you and experiencing the enthusiasm for affordable, renewable, clean energy and green jobs for San Francisco gives us hope for what we can still accomplish.

Let’s come together and celebrate our efforts!
We invite you to join us for a
Clean Energy Campaign Potluck

WHERE: Global Exchange, 2017 Mission Street, 2nd Floor, (near 16th St & Mission St BART)
WHEN: Friday, Nov. 21st, 6:00pm-8:00pm.

Afterwards we can walk over to Elixir for drinks.
If you think you’ll make it, please RSVP to geoff.cleanenergy@gmail.com with what you plan to bring. Or just show up. Just bringing yourself is most important. We want to see you.

New Prop H Action Video from KTVU

Clean Energy & Green Jobs Now!
Here is some more of the coverage that is coming in from the Prop H action outside of PG&E Headquarters. Dozens of people came out for the action, not to mention the dozen PG&E employees on their lunch break enjoying the show. Community members showed PG&E that San Francisco wants clean energy now, and they aren’t waiting around for it any longer! We think they got the message. However PG&E is still spending nearly $9 million on a campaign that only hold to their interests. Remember to keep your, and the climates, interests in mind Nov 4. Vote YES on H!

PROP H WIND TURBINES INSTALLED ON PG&E HQ
More Pics HERE

PG&E’s record-breaking $9.9 million opposition to Prop H said to be obstructing San Francisco’s chance for renewable and cheaper energy

SAN FRANCISCO — In front of PG&E’s downtown headquarters at 77 Beale St. at Market, three twelve-foot wind turbines were constructed by citizens eager to see Prop H pass and begin a green job and affordable green energy future. Citizens wearing green hard hats and worker overalls promptly descended on PG&E’s headquarters and constructed the wind turbine art installations. PG&E provides the City with only 2% wind energy, and 1% solar, for a total of 14% renewable energy, while Prop H would develop thousands of green jobs and move San Francisco’s energy provider to 51% renewable and clean energy in a decade, 75% by 2030 and will maximize all available and affordable renewable energy possible by 2040.

Yes on H / No on 8 Rally

“So what these two measures have in common is that our adversaries can’t sell their message honestly because it’s not a message that voters like.” “They have to reinvent it and, in fact, try to sell the voters a less than truthful message, some might even call them lies.” –Mark Leno

Here is a great piece from Sunday’s “No on 8″ / “Yes on H” rally!
Folks from San Francisco’s LGBTQ community, clean energy advocates, and students, all opponents of Prop 8, and supporters of Prop H held a … Continue Reading

CA Students Rally for Prop H

This past weekend Global Exchange and California Student Sustainability Coalition  brought students from all over California to San Francisco State University for 3 days of campaigning workshops, media training, and networking opportunities to take back to their campuses and communities and continue their work to curb climate change. The weekend came together with a rally supporting Prop H with Julian Davis, Ross Mirkarimi, Mark Leno, and 100’s of students. The rally included wind turbines being erected, supporting public transit at a near by Muni station, with chatting singing and street theatre. It was a perfect example of the next … Continue Reading

Cake and Clean Energy

crosspost from: http://bruhner.blogspot.com/

Here is a great first-hand report from the Prop H pre-party and Concert w/ Cake!:

Here is the deal, I got an email from the Independent on Divisadero telling me that Cake was going to play there for a special benefit blah blah blah. I wanted to see Cake at a small venue and I was excited. By the time I figured out that my wife and I could both go, all that was left were the expensive VIP tickets and I really wanted to go so I bought them. The VIP tickets allowed us to go to a meet and greet and I sort of hate those things because the band is supposed to be nice to you because you paid more….. blah, blah blah so we figured we would just go to the show.

OK, Ok so get to the point. Well I got an email a few days before the show and it said come for food and drink etc. and the address was intiguing so we decided to go. The house was a grand old victorian with an amazing history all it’s own. the vibe was mellow and friendly and I walked past John McCrea (lead singer of Cake) on my way in trying to act non chalant…… I was so damn successful at the non chalant thing that i did not speak to John all night. I did get in 2 different conversation circles with him though and he had a bit of a sore throat so he was sipping hot tea.
